Digital & Creative Artist Assistant
We are seeking a highly capable and detail-oriented Digital & Creative Artist Assistant to support a multidisciplinary design studio.
This is a remote role, working closely with an Australian-based team. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical execution, clear communication skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining consistency with brand standards and creative direction.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, Acrobat)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Experience with Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor, and basic HTML email formatting
- Familiarity with WordPress, Squarespace, and digital asset management workflows
- Experience with Canva, particularly in template creation
- High attention to detail with the ability to follow structured templates and brand systems
- Basic photo and video editing skills
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a remote environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow direction while also demonstrating initiative and independence
- Experience working with Australian or international teams is an advantage
Responsibilities
- Design and produce high-quality artwork across print and digital formats, including brochures, social media content, campaigns, and event collateral
- Edit, retouch, and optimize imagery using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom
- Prepare and finalize artwork for print and digital production, ensuring accuracy and quality
- Create, manage, and distribute weekly newsletters via Mailchimp
- Assist in the development of HTML5 ads, eDMs, and other digital campaign assets
- Produce social media content and review video materials for brand consistency and quality control
- Ensure all outputs align with established brand guidelines
- Support website updates and content management across WordPress, Squarespace, and other CMS platforms
- Create and maintain Canva templates for internal teams and clients
- Coordinate with onshore and offshore team members, as well as external suppliers when required
- Assist in project coordination using tools such as Monday.com, Jira, SharePoint, and Dropbox
- Provide ongoing support to the Creative Director and design team on ad hoc tasks
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines with strong attention to detail
